Apparel Skill Training with APPC

Empowering Youth & Women through Tailoring and Design in Telangana

Priyadarshini is an official training partner of the Andhra Pradesh Productivity Council (APPC), working collaboratively to implement specialized skill development programs in the apparel sector. These programs are tailored to empower unemployed youth and women, particularly in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar, and Rajanna Sircilla districts of Telangana.

The initiative focuses on building sustainable livelihoods by equipping participants with industry-relevant skills in tailoring, embroidery, and garment design.

🎯 Program Objectives:

  • To create employment and self-employment opportunities in the apparel and fashion sectors

  • To train rural and urban youth, especially women, in market-driven job roles

  • To promote micro-enterprises and support local garment production units

  • To strengthen the value chain in traditional and modern textile sectors

🧵 Job Roles Offered:

1. Sewing Machine Operator

Provides training on:

  • Operating industrial sewing machines

  • Stitching garments with speed and precision

  • Following quality control, safety standards, and garment construction techniques

  • Employment in garment factories or setting up home-based units

2. Hand Embroidery Artisan

Focuses on:

  • Traditional and modern hand embroidery techniques

  • Design tracing, thread work, beadwork, zari work, and fabric embellishment

  • Applications in ethnic wear, bridal fashion, home décor, and boutique design

  • Opportunities for freelance work or custom orders

3. Pattern Maker

Trains participants to:

  • Interpret design sketches and measurements

  • Create accurate garment patterns for cutting and mass production

  • Use tools for drafting, grading, and fitting

  • Work in fashion houses, export units, and design studios
