Eye and General Health Camps by Priyadarshini Organization
In Collaboration with Centre for Sight Hospital & St. Theresa’s Hospital, Hyderabad
As part of its commitment to community well-being and inclusive healthcare, Priyadarshini has actively conducted free Eye and General Health Camps in collaboration with Centre for Sight Hospital, Ramanthapur and St. Theresa’s Hospital, Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad.
These health initiatives aim to bring quality medical services directly to underprivileged and underserved communities, especially those who lack access to routine healthcare due to financial, social, or geographical barriers.
🎯 Objectives of the Health Camps:
To provide free diagnosis and treatment for common eye and general health problems
To create awareness about preventive healthcare practices
To promote early detection of diseases, especially among the elderly, women, and children
To support health equity by extending services to slum dwellers, daily wage laborers, and rural populations
🏥 Key Collaborators:
Centre for Sight Hospital, Ramanthapur
A nationally renowned eye care center, provided expert ophthalmologists and staff for:Eye screening for cataracts, glaucoma, and vision problems
Free spectacles distribution for patients with refractive errors
Referrals for surgeries or advanced treatment where needed
St. Theresa’s Hospital, Sanath Nagar
A trusted institution in general healthcare, offered:General health checkups including BP, sugar, and BMI
Medical consultations for women, children, and senior citizens
Basic lab investigations, free medicines, and health counseling
Eye screening for cataracts, glaucoma, and vision problems

Hundreds of beneficiaries screened and treated during each camp
Focus on low-income households, construction workers, and slum communities
Special attention given to women’s health, child immunization, and geriatric care

COVID Frontline Workers Supporting Cancer Awareness: A Step Beyond Training
At Priyadarshini , we believe that skill training is not just about classroom learning—it’s about creating real-world impact. As part of our COVID Frontline Workers – Basic Care Support program under PMKVY Scheme, our trained candidates actively participated in a Fight Cancer Awareness and Screening Camp, showing their commitment to public health beyond COVID response.
🎯 About the Initiative:
The Fight Cancer Camp was organized in collaboration with local health departments and medical professionals to:
Raise awareness about early detection of cancer
Promote screening for breast, cervical, and oral cancers
Educate the public on preventive health practices and lifestyle choices
💪 Role of Our Trained Frontline Workers:
Our COVID Frontline Support trainees were proud participants and volunteers in the camp. They assisted in:
Basic health check-ups and screenings
Patient counseling and guiding beneficiaries
Distributing awareness materials and hygiene kits
Assisting doctors and nurses in record keeping and patient coordination

Over 500 number beneficiaries attended the camp
